The Cherwell Business Awards, now in its 5th year, is searching for North Oxfordshire’s best businesses across ten award categories. The awards celebrate business excellence in the region: large or small, new or long-established, the innovative and the charitable.
Applications and nominations are now open, if you think your business might be a worthy winner, please enter or nominate at http://cherwellbusinessawards.co.uk by 1st February 2016
The ten awards categories are:
The Cherwell Business Awards 2015 – 10 Award Categories
- The A2Dominion Group - New Business Award
- The Activate Learning Banbury & Bicester College - Employer Award
- The Begbroke Science Park - Innovation & Creativity Award
- The Bicester Village - Retail Award
- The Cherwell District Council - Charity & Community Award
- The Ellacotts LLP - Business Person Award

- The Bicester Vision & Bicester Chamber – Micro Business Award
As per each year, the committee have also continued the prolific Overall Winner Award. There is no separate entry for this most prestigious award, as the winner will be chosen from the finalists of any of the other 10 categories.
Entries will be narrowed to three short-listed finalists in each category, and winners will be announced at a gala dinner in May 2016. All finalists will also be automatically entered into the esteemed Oxfordshire Business Awards 2015.
Winning an award can be a springboard to greater success and exposure in the local business community. David Stevens, Corporate Partner of sponsors to the Business Person of the Year and committee members, Ellacotts LLP, said:
“The awards have always provided a great opportunity for businesses to step back and take notice of past achievements which can often be taken for granted. Likewise, taking a critical view of your business can bring forth areas of improvement.
As well as this, the event provides a great opportunity to meet other businesses as well as benchmark your business against others within the region. The publicity, prestige and exposure gained through the awards can be invaluable for any small business. We don’t know of any other event providing this kind of platform for our region.”
