A34 / M40 Junction 9 Wendlebury Improvement Scheme
The Highways Agency will be carrying out the second phase of an improvement scheme to relieve congestion at the A34/M40 Junction 9 Wendlebury Interchange.
This phase of work will increase capacity on the A34 northbound carriageway, and on the A41 north and southbound carriageways. The main construction work is scheduled to start in March/April 2014 and is expected to take approximately six months to complete. For the safety of our workforce and to create a safe driving environment for road users, traffic management will be in place on the M40 slip roads, the roundabout itself and on the A34 and A41 carriageways. Depending on the activity/ies being undertaken this will comprise of one or more of the following:
24 hour narrow lane running with restricted speed limits
Overnight full carriageway closures
Overnight full slip road closures
Overnight lane closures
Temporary closure of the footpath which runs between Wendlebury and Weston-on-the-Green, via the roundabout
