Title
A40 Wolvercote and Cutteslowe travel bulletin - 15.8.16
Night work will start again on the evening of 16 August 2016, this time at Cutteslowe roundabout.
This work is being carried out overnight (excluding Saturday and Sunday nights) under full road closures when the traffic is at its lightest. Our normal night time working hours are 8pm to 6am.
Tuesday 16 to Monday 22 August – we will be closing the south side of Cutteslowe roundabout which will include a closure of A40 Elsfield Way westbound, Banbury Road (south of the roundabout) and Sunderland Avenue westbound. The diversion for this is via the Oxford Ring Road and the A34 to the Pear Tree Interchange. The night time working hours for this closure are 8pm to 6am.
Tuesday 23 to Wednesday 31 August – we will be closing the north side of Cutteslowe roundabout which will include a closure of Sunderland Avenue eastbound, Banbury Road (north of the roundabout) up to Harefields and Elsfield Way eastbound. The diversion for this closure will be via the A34 southbound and the Oxford ring road. The night time working hours are 8pm to 6am. No work will take place over the Bank Holiday.
Wednesday 31 August to Friday 2 September – we will be closing Sunderland Avenue in both directions in order to surface where the old traffic islands are. The diversion for this closure will be via Kidlington Roundabout and Pear Tree Roundabout.
Monday 5 and Tuesday 6 September – should we need extra time to complete the surfacing and white lining, we will use these two dates. Should we use them, Monday 5 will be a closure to the north side of Cutteslowe roundabout and Tuesday 6 would be a closure to the south side of the roundabout
