How we’re getting on with the work

Work is substantially complete on all sections of the footway around the roundabout and will be fully complete by 24 April 2015.

Resurfacing of the carriageway has been on-going at night, and will be completed by Thursday 23 April 2015. This involves the installation of a buff coloured material on all raised pedestrian crossings on every arm of the roundabout.

Work has also started on repairing the footways on Magdalen Bridge, and this will continue until early June 2015.

No more road closures are required to complete the work. The remaining night time surfacing works is being done using temporary traffic signals to control traffic onto and off the roundabout.

There will be no traffic management in place on either The Plain or Magdalen Bridge from late afternoon of 30 April until 9am on Mayday.

As work progresses on Magdalen Bridge, pedestrians will be directed to use sections of the carriageway to bypass the work areas. This will continue on both footpaths until work is complete in June 2015.
