Title
Hagbourne Hill Travel Bulletin - 24.3.16
Traffic Information
Temporary 3-way traffic lights remain in place 24 hours a day on the A417. These will remain in operation until 8 April 2016 when they will be removed and the new phase of traffic management will be put in place as shown below.
The new phase of traffic management will see the traffic controlled in single lanes in each direction on the A417.
Between 25 and 29 April, traffic lights will be installed again and the link into West Hagbourne, along Main Street, will be closed and a diversion route will be in place.
Latest progress
A significant amount of work is taking place on the approach to the newly constructed roundabout from Hagbourne Hill. The team has finished diverting underground services and are now excavating this section of the road ready to form the new road layout.
The installation of new kerbs has progressed well and the team have been carrying out surfacing to the westbound section of the A417, towards Wantage. The layout of the new junction is now becoming clear.
Over the coming weeks, we will focus on surfacing the new central islands and will continue to build the new roundabout ready for the traffic management switch in early April.
The works are on track to be complete in the Summer.
Easter
There will be no construction work taking place over the Easter Bank Holiday weekend. Work will stop on the afternoon of Thursday 24 March and will begin again on the morning of Tuesday 29 March. Traffic management will remain in place during this time for safety reasons.
