Oxford Innovation announced as main partner for Oxfordshire SOUP

Creating Sense Ltd, organiser of the recently launched Oxfordshire SOUP small business grant award has today announced that the headline partner for their October event will be Oxford Innovation, leading provider of Innovation Centres throughout the country helping over 900 start ups and SMEs to grow.

With a reduction in government funding and grants available for small businesses, the elegance of Oxfordshire SOUP is its simplicity of grassroots funding. A mix of live crowdfunding and Dragons Den, businesses are given the opportunity to pitch for small-scale investment and the crowd collectively vote for the winner. The winner walks away with all of the money from the ticket sales and a support package (including additional funding) enabling them to develop a strong, sustainable business.

Tom Hanney. Regional Manager at Oxford Innovation says “We are delighted to be the main partner for the next Oxfordshire SOUP event, there is a real synergy between their focus to help new businesses take their first step, and ours which is to provide the right services and environment to enable new businesses to grow”.

Tina Marshall, Director at Creating Sense commented “We are thrilled to secure the support of Oxford Innovation for Oxfordshire SOUP. They are a major player constantly working to help small businesses evolve and develop, and are exactly the sort of company we want to be aligned with. They are a perfect match for Oxfordshire SOUP”.
