Oxfordshire Skills Board Advisory Group "Creating the Continuum" looking for members
Are you passionate about helping young people flourish and want to maximise the opportunities Oxfordshire provides for them? If so, we have an exciting new opportunity for you!
Aligned to the Oxfordshire Local Enterprise Partnership, Oxfordshire Skills Board is looking for persuasive and influential senior business, education and public sector leaders who can bring energy and passion to their new advisory group, "Creating the Continuum". This group will provide strategic input and oversee the development and delivery of activities that support the Oxfordshire Skills Board priorities, including:

Creating the, "skills continuum" to support young people though their learning journey
- Increasing the number of Apprenticeship opportunities
By fostering positive relationships with key stakeholders in the young person/education agenda; this opportunity will allow you to act as a high level advocate of Oxfordshire’s skills ambitions. Therefore members will be:

Business, education and public sector leaders living and/or working in Oxfordshire.

Individuals that understand government policy and/or the education sector and/or the challenges of business.

Persuasive and influential senior leaders who can bring energy and passion to the Creating the Continuum agenda.

Credible and able to harness the business community to ensure we maximise the potential of Oxfordshire’s businesses to support the agenda.

Empathetic and able to work with and influence a wide range of people often in sensitive situations.
The group will meet every eight weeks for a minimum of 90 minutes in a central Oxford location. You will be required to attend all meetings where possible, but no less than four meetings per annum.
Please note these roles are not remunerated.
