Oxfordshire Work Experience supports schools, colleges and employers with work experience in Oxfordshire.

Work experience being defined as a placement on employer’s premises in which a student carries out a particular task or duty, or a range of tasks or duties, more or less as would an employee, but with the emphasis on the learning aspects of the experience.

We are committed to providing an extensive work experience support offer for schools/colleges and make it as easy as possible for employers to get involved with work experience. We currently support over 30 schools in Oxfordshire and supported over 6000 student placements in the 2015/16 academic year.

Work experience provides many benefits to all parties involved. It gives young people the knowledge, skills and experience that will enable them to make good training and career choices. It gives employers a chance to influence young people’s career choices and promote themselves and their products/services.

Please note: OWE does not organise work experience placements for individual students directly. Requests must come through partner schools and colleges. OWE is not able to support individual requests for help from parents or students; However, we are happy for you to access our resources which may answer some of the questions you have.
