Title

A40 Wolvercote and Cutteslowe Roundabouts: 11 September 2015

Changes to traffic management

The work to the central reservation along the A40 Elsfield Way is nearly complete. The old barrier has been removed and the area has been excavated and resurfaced.

Overnight of Saturday 12 September the traffic management will switch from the central reservation into the verges on both the east and west bound carriageway. This will allow the construction of the new verge layouts and will last until February 2016.

Work on the A40 and A44 from Monday 14 September

From Monday 14 September extensive work will be carried out to the A40 Northern Bypass and A44 Woodstock Roads in both directions. The work will be undertaken at night only, between 10pm and 6am and will be complete by 3 October 2015.

The A40 Westbound carriageway will start to be closed, whereby the traffic will be diverted via the ring road. The traffic will still be able to travel eastbound towards Wolvercote roundabout during this time.

Once work has finished on the westbound carriageway the closures will switch sides to the A40 Eastbound carriageway. When this work is complete the A40 will be reopened and the same process will start on the A44 Woodstock Road between Wolvercote roundabout and the Pear Tree roundabout.
