DanMedical provide innovative medical support technology to Technip UK

DanMedical has announced an agreement to supply its D-MAS HyperSat medical monitoring system to a world leader in project management, engineering and construction for the energy industry.

Aberdeen-headquartered Technip UK will equip its Dive Support Vessels with the D-MAS HyperSat medical monitoring system, further increasing the level of medical support available to its offshore personnel.

DanMedical’s HyperSat system will enable the real-time medical monitoring of divers whilst offshore, ensuring the highest standard of medical care is available on Technip’s vessels.

The D-MAS HyperSat will provide divers working in saturation, with a level of medical monitoring not previously available. Real-time medical data can now be shared with specialist medical support staff onshore.

The HyperSat system will initially be deployed in October on a DSV operating in the North Sea.

Stuart Vallance, Operations Director, Technip UK said: “We are delighted to be adopting this exciting technological development which enhances the current provisions we have in place in terms of diver safety.

“The safety of our teams and operational conditions is one of our key values as an organisation. Equipping our vessels with the D-MAS HyperSat medical monitoring system underlines this long-term commitment.”

Peter Couldery, CEO, DanMedical added We applaud Technip’s decision to take the level of medical support to their divers to the next level by equipping their vessels with D-MAS HyperSat devices. This underlines Technip’s commitment to setting the highest operating standards in the offshore energy sector.”
