At Cutteslowe we have:
Completed the work in the central reservation on the A40 Elsfield Way and have moved into the verges. We’re now removing the kerbs and excavating the verges in order to widen into them with the newly constructed lanes. This work will continue into February.
Removed nearly all of the excavated material on the roundabout
Ongoing work in Jackson Road, re-shaping the island and adding drainage. We will be re-opening the road on or before 5th November
At Wolvercote we are:
Installing the cable ducts on the A40 and A44. This is for the traffic lights and the street lighting.
Preparing to resurface the A40 in the next two weeks with the A44 resurfacing following afterwards
Continuing to install the kerbs on the A40 and A44
Planning your journeys
Although traffic is generally flowing well during the restricted areas, there is congestion at peak times.
If you drive through the area please consider whether public transport, walking, cycling or car sharing could work for you. You can find out more information on car sharing here and find live travel information at www.oxontime.co.uk
