Launch of Consultation on proposals for challenging “grossly unfair” payment contractual terms and practices 

The Government is welcoming views from across industry, particularly from business representative bodies and small businesses on proposals in this new consultation document published on Monday 26 October 2015. This document sets out how the Government proposes to change the UK’s statutory framework to provide business representative bodies with additional powers to challenge “grossly unfair” payment contractual terms and practices as set out in the 2011 EU Late Payment Directive. This follows on from the discussion paper published by the Department in February 2015.
