Work so far
Anyone who has travelled along the A40 and Cutteslowe and Wolvercote roundabouts will have seen that work is progressing.
At Wolvercote
The A40 westbound and A44 northbound resurfacing is complete
We have also started installing the drainage and utility diversion on the A40 eastbound verge. In order to carry out part of this, we are required to close one of the entrances to the BP garage and the BMW dealership.
The second entrance/exit on the A40 will remain open during this time and the entrance and exit on the A44 will also remain open.
At Cutteslowe
Jackson Road is nearly complete and will be re-opened overnight on Saturday 7 November when the lighter traffic means it is safest for our workforce and the travelling public.
We are also currently installing the drainage and kerbs on both the east and the westbound Elsfield Way and we’re also constructing the new foot/cycle way on the westbound. Preparation work to install the new lighting columns on the westbound carriageway has also started.
