Lloyds Bank and Bank of Scotland Social Entrepreneurs Programme

The Lloyds Bank and Bank of Scotland Social Entrepreneurs Programme is here to give social entrepreneurs the best possible chance of success by providing access to support and funding. To date they have supported 1,000 social entrepreneurs in the UK via this programme. Applications are currently open and applications must be received before 1pm on 21st March 2016.

About the programme

Lloyds Bank Social Entrepreneurs Programme is a package of support that includes three different elements; an inspirational and practical 14 day course, a business mentor from Lloyds Banking Group and a grant. The content of the course and the size of the grant award will vary depending on whether you join Start Up or Scale Up.  Your eligibility for each depends on where you are in the development of your organisation.

Who is Start Up for?

Start Up will help you get a new organisation up and running. If you have an early stage organisation, or an idea for a new organisation, this is the course for you. Start Up is delivered in 12 locations and each year there are 260 places available. To be eligible for Start Up you will need:

  1. An entrepreneurial spark
  2. An idea for, or a new organisation, that will create social impact and be financially sustainable
  3. Eagerness to learn and develop as a social entrepreneur 
  4. Committment to attending the 14 day course
  5. Time and energy to invest in getting your organisation operational outside of the course

Who is Scale Up for?

Scale Up will help you grow a sustainable social enterprise. The aim of Scale Up is to support established organisations to grow their income and impact. Scale Up is delivered in London and Liverpool each year and there are 40 places available. To be eligible for Scale Up you need:

  1. To be the founder or CEO of an established social enterprise or social impact organisation
  2. Your last year’s turnover is in excess of £25,000
  3. Eagerness to learn and develop as a social entrepreneur
  4. Committment to attending the 14 day course
  5. Time and energy to invest in growing your organisation outside of the course
