Title
Top Gun business growth for Oxfordshire at Howbery Business Park
A fully integrated and award winning creative and digital marketing agency has moved to Howbery Business Park in Wallingford to accelerate its business growth.
Aptly named Miramar after the training camp that featured in the Tom Cruise classic Top Gun, the agency has designed its 2,500 sq. ft. office to include meeting rooms named after the film’s protagonists Maverick and Goose along with a brainstorming area called Ice.
Miramar’s founder, Craig Bowers, believes Howbery Business Park will help his top flight team of 25 marketeers deliver the best of the best to a number of Blue Chip clients spanning science, technology and professional services. “Miramar has doubled its headcount over the last year and we are fortunate enough to have an exceptional team both client facing and at the back end,” explains Craig Bowers, Managing Director, Miramar. “Recruiting people that meet our standards can be a challenging process so we hope that Howbery’s campus feel and on site benefits will help to attract staff as well as retain our current team.”
Miramar has featured in the Top 10 fastest growing business-to-business (B2B) marketing agencies for the last three years and has increased its turnover by 35 per cent over the last year.
Craig Bowers continues: “Digital solutions (apps, web, video) have helped us win new clients and our growth has been driven by a mixture of these new clients and a closer working relationship with existing ones. We find that our clients now involve us much earlier in their communications plans to benefit from our strategy and planning function ensuring we create measurable, ROI driven marketing activity.”
Miramar is currently recruiting for its client services and digital teams as it strives to take the agency to the next level to add to its growing client list that already boasts Fujitsu, Hewlett Packard and Oxford Instruments.
Donna Bowles, Estates Manager for Howbery Business Park, said: “Miramar has definitely added an element of creativity to the park and we are looking forward to assisting Craig and his team to grow the business by providing inspiration for their next award winning campaign whether that’s through an taking a walk in our beautiful grounds or attending an on site yoga class.”
Howbery Business Park, owned by HR Wallingford, has a diverse range of businesses on site with major occupiers including GTI Media and the Environment Agency. The park has planning permission to create 70,000 sq. ft. of new office space.
