The Oxfordshire LEP with support from SEMLEP have submitted a bid to the Highways Agency for funding from their Pinch Point Programme to improve Junction 9 of the M40.

The Highways Agency have received £220m from the Department for Transport to invest into schemes that directly unlock jobs and housing growth; are below £10m in value; and are deliverable within the next three financial years. The Junction 9 bid meets all of these requirements.

Successful bids will be announced in September.
