As part of the ongoing works to refurbish the bridges at Chieveley and Welford, we have reached the stage in our construction programme where we need to demolish and replace the bridge beams at Junction 13.  Due to the specialist working methods and equipment required, including large cranes which will need to sit across all three lanes of the motorway, we will need to close sections of the roundabout over full weekend periods.

To keep to number of closures and overall disruption to a minimum, work will take place on both bridges simultaneously on these weekends.  The scheduled weekends are as follows*:

•          Friday 8th to Monday 11th May
•          Friday 29th May to Monday 1st June
•          Friday 5th to Monday 8th June
•          Friday 12th to Monday 15th June
•          Friday 19th to Monday 22nd June
•          Friday 10th to Monday 13th July
•          Friday 17th to Monday 20th July
•          Friday 31st July to Monday 3rd August
•          Friday 7th to Monday 10 August
