Councillor Bob Price has been a member of Oxford City Council since 1983, and has been Leader of the Council since May 2008. He was Lord Mayor of Oxford in 2005-2006.

A Cambridge educated economist, he worked for 18 years as an academic at the University of Warwick Business School, and subsequently as Director of Human Resources for the Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council and Oxford Brookes University.

He is a member of the Oxfordshire Local Enterprise Partnership (OxLEP) Board and the South East Arts Council Board, and locally he is Chair of Governors at New Hinksey Primary School and a member of the Trustee Board of the Cheney School Academy. He is married with two daughters.
