The newly appointed Digital Economy Minister, Matt Hancock, has co-chaired the first meeting of the Cyber Growth Partnership alongside Gavin Patterson, CEO of BT. The partnership will provide oversight and strategic guidance to Government on the development of the UK cyber security sector.

They noted Government, industry, academia and other stakeholders need to work together to make sure the UK’s cyber security sector has the best possible conditions to innovate and grow. Government also plans to develop two Cyber Security Innovation Centres, which will play a key role in helping make sure the UK can develop the products and services it needs.

Locally, the Oxford Cyber Security Cluster continues momentum in bringing together cyber security focused organisations across the county.
