Di joined Abingdon and Witney College in 1992 as the Head of Community Education (Adult Learning), previously working for Oxfordshire County Council first, in the Youth Service and then as part of the adult education team. After working in a number of different roles within the college she became Deputy Principal in 2011. Di was appointed Principal of Abingdon & Witney College in January 2016.
During her time at the college she has been instrumental to a number of successes, including achieving student success rates that placed the college in the top 10% of colleges in England and first in Oxfordshire.
In 2014, Ofsted awarded the college an outstanding grade for Leadership and Management and in April 2015, there was more to celebrate when the college was revealed as having the highest timely success rates in England for 16-18 apprenticeships.
Di led on the transfer of the Oxfordshire Skills and Learning Service from Oxfordshire County Council in June 2015, which saw an additional 200 staff and over 800 part-time courses integrated into the college
