Title
A40 Wolvercote and Cutteslowe travel bulletin - 10.10.16
Final work on Wolvercote and Cutteslowe
Over the last 14 months, a significant number of improvements have been made to both Wolvercote and Cutteslowe roundabouts and their approaches.
Utilities have been diverted, the approaches have been widened, new foot and cycle ways have been built, a large amount of resurfacing has taken place, the roundabouts have changed shape and new traffic lights have been installed – all with the aim to improve traffic flow for motorists and accessibility for pedestrians and cyclists.
Over 80,000 man hours have been worked in order to make these improvements and we are pleased to say the main construction activities were finished and the new traffic lights were up and running 2 months ahead of schedule.
Most of the temporary traffic management has gone, with the rest being removed towards the end of next week (14th October). Five Mile Drive is now open and our welfare compound at Blandford Avenue will be removed early next week.
