Meet the Oxfordshire Local Enterprise Partnership Skills Team

The Oxfordshire Local Enterprise Partnership (OxLEP) Skills Team brings together a range of services that help Oxfordshire schools to facilitate careers and enterprise education and experiences. Bringing these together to form OxLEP Skills enables us to work in a more joined up way and make best use of our resources to support schools with developing and delivering initiatives.

Below is an outline of the services and what we provide:

  • Manage the Oxfordshire Enterprise Adviser network on behalf of the Careers & Enterprise Company, linking schools with local volunteers from business

Oxfordshire Apprenticeships

  • Deliver talks and workshops on Apprenticeships to whole year groups or smaller groups of students
  • Attend careers evenings to give talks to and parents and families
  • Manage a network of Apprenticeship Ambassadors, who work with us to talk to students about their experiences as an Apprentice
  • Advise on employing Apprentices in your school and, if you’re paying the Apprenticeship Levy, help you explore ways of using your funds

During the summer, we’ll be compiling a detailed programme of the services that the OxLEP Skills Team offers to make it easier for you to identify how our team could support your school. We’ll share this with schools in September.
