Oxfordshire in talks to join forces with 5 other LEPs

Talks have taken place between Oxfordshire Local Enterprise Partnership and five other south east LEPs to discuss collaborating on key issues.

Leaders from Buckinghamshire Thames Valley, Enterprise M3, Coast 2 Coast, Thames Valley Berkshire and Hertfordshire LEPs met on 6 June to look at the possibility of working together on a range of issues order to gain greater leverage in negotiations with the Government and European Union. Areas include; funding, developing broadband, roads, rail, airport access, workforce training and influencing policy.

At the exploratory talks held in Westminister, the 6 LEPs, calling themselves GTV6 (Greater Thames Valley), agreed to meet on a monthly basis to consider in greater detail the issues they plan to pursue collectively and those which need to take priority. The next meeting will be held in July following the Government's next Spending Round.
