With major names including Williams F1, Prodrive and the Haas F1 Team it has one of the world's most unique and exciting, innovative and competitive industry supply chains. Automotive specialisms include hybrid and electric powertrain technology, with Williams Advanced Engineering acting as a key supplier and the power behind Formula E racing.

There is also a rich history of car manufacturing dating back over 100 years to William Morris. In fact, Oxford was the birthplace of the much-loved Mini and remains an important centre of production for this iconic vehicle. They are built at the BMW plant, where the BMW Group has invested over £1.5 billion in manufacturing facilities for the Mini brand of vehicles over the past decade.
